The Legacy (1978)

When two interior designers from Los Angeles, Maggie and Pete, are retained by a mysterious British client. They reluctantly take the job. Maggie's first encounter with the host is a traumatic experience in which he forces a silver ring on her finger. A ring which will not come off. As the guests begin dying off in freak accidents, she realizes something very sinister is under way! She also realizes the dark secret of her family's history.

A happy young couple get a great deal on an old house by the sea. On the night that they move in, the locals fill them in on the ghosts that live in the house. They are warned of their "visitors." When they arrive at the house and begin celebrating their closing, the realtor's wife sees something she can't expain in the window. Are there really vampires? Why are there no mirrors in the house?

This is one of those creepy movies from the 70's that you see one time and remember forever! Imagine realizing that someone has been living in your crawlspace!?! and being so desperate for children that you invite them into your home and even want to sign their name on your Christmas cards!?!

A middle-aged couple move to a small town and encounter a young man who takes a liking to them. They realize he has been living under their crawlspace. They gradually become more an more accommodating, despite an early red flag, and invite him into their home. He becomes the child they never had. However, an incident in town leads to tragedy and crushes the dream.

This movie features Arthur Kennedy.
